When do I need a solicitor?

Most RTM claims do not require a solicitor. You should consider instructing one if:

  • Your building is complex - mixed use, multiple freeholders or unusual lease terms
  • Your landlord serves a counter-notice disputing your claim
  • Your case goes to the First-tier Tribunal

In all other cases, LEASE, LKP and YourBuilding cover everything you need.
